The thought-provoking intersex gender documentary Assume Nothing by director Kirsty MacDonald has been acquired by Films for the Humanities and Sciences for US distribution. The hotly contested documentary which explores the overlapping boundaries of the male and female form attracted 3 offers for distribution from US distributors. The film features candid discussions on the topic and explores intersex gender imagery through photography, performance and art. The film premiered last month at the Frameline Festival in San Francisco and will be showing next at the Rhode Island Film Festival this August.
